The Palestinian government appealed to the Egyptian authorities to take into account the conditions of the besieged people in the Gaza Strip and open the Rafah crossing.
Kamel Abu Madi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior in Gaza, in a press conference held on Sunday afternoon at the Rafah crossing called for opening the Rafah crossing in both directions.
He stressed that the number of departures has dramatically decreased this year, aggravating the humanitarian situation inside the Strip, and noted that the crossing has been open for six days only since the beginning of this month.
