Tuesday October 1, 2013, Palestinian medical sources have reported that a Palestinian child was shot and injured by Israeli army fire at the entrance of the Al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah.

The sources said that the child, Yazan Mahmoud Al-‘Abed, 10, was shot by a rubber-coated metal bullet.
Local sources said that clashes took place after dozens of Israeli soldiers tried to invade it; local youths threw stones at the soldiers who fired gas bombs, rubber-coated metal bullet and gas bombs.
Several residents suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.
The sources added that a Palestinian ambulance rushed to the refugee camp, but Israeli soldiers prevented the medical crew from reaching the wounded child.
