Dan kada je Kuvajt stekao nezavisnost

Država Kuvajt prva je država koja je u regiji Perzijskog zaljeva stekla nezavisnost od Velike Britanije 19. juna 1961. godine, ali se Nacionalni dan slavi 25. februara, a Dan oslobođenja od iračke invazije 26. februara.

Proglašenjem nezavisnosti kuvajtski šeik Abdulah III. Al-Salim Al-Sabah dobio je novu vladarsku titulu – emir, već sljedeće godine potpisao kuvajtski ustav, čime je ta država postala ustavna monarhija. Za razliku od apsolutnih monarhija, u kojima vladara ne obvezuju nikakvi zakoni, u ustavnim monarhijama čak i vladar u načelu mora poštovati ustav svoje države.

Država Kuvajt je tri puta manja od Bosne i Hercegovine, a imaju skoro isti broj stanovnika. Izuzetno je razvijena i moderna država, u kojoj se mogu naći sve vrijednosti istoka i zapada spojene u jednu skladnu cjelinu  Nafta je najveći izvor prihoda i ekonomska snaga Države Kuvajt.

Ove godine ambasade i konzularne misije širom svijeta organizovale su prijeme u čast nacionalnog praznika, koji se poklapa sa UN-ovim proglašenjem Kuvajta “humanitarnim centrom”, a njegovog vladara Emira Sheikha Sabaha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabaha “humanitarnim liderom”.

To nije ništa neobično kada je u pitanju Država Kuvajt na čijem čelu se nalazi emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. Od kada je došao na vlast 2006. godine kuvajtski emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah podjelio je milijarde dolara pomoći širom svijeta, siromašnim zemljama i narodima kao i zemljama pogođenim raznim katastrofama. Pomagali su Bangladeš nakon ciklona 2007. godine, Japan nakon razornog zemljotresa i cunamija, Somaliju 2011. godine nakon velike suše, Filipine ove godine nakon velikog i razornog tajfuna. Trenutno su uključeni u pomoć u borbi protiv virusa ebole. Najviše sredstava Kuvajt izdvaja za pomoć izbjeglicama iz Sirije, kao i za pomoć stanovnicima Palestine. Sve ovo je samo mali dio pomoći koju emir Kuvajta Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah svake godine podjeli širom svijeta.

Država Kuvajt mnogo puta je pomogla BiH u toku agresije preko humamanitarnih organizacija, a nakon toga preko svoje ambasade u Sarajevu.

Uložili su milione u održiv povratak, pomagali su građane BiH prilikom elementarnih nepogoda, poput poplava sa proljeća ove godine, podržavali su privredni razvoj, Islamsku zajednicu u BiH. Pomoć Države Kuvajt BiH prisutna je na svim poljima.

Ambasador Države Kuvajt u BiH,  Nje.E. g-din Nasser Riden Thamer Almotairi je povodom Nacionalnog dana i Dana oslobođenja od okupacije organizovao svečani prijem, večeras, 25.02.2015,  u hotelu Europa sa početkom u 18:00 sati.
